‘Power Up’ Midlands is the third iteration of Big Issue Invest’s early stage investment programme. Through this initiative we are providing the opportunity for up to 15 social enterprises and community businesses across the Midlands access to funding and support.
We are proud to work with key partners for the programme including Barclays, Power to Change and Experian. As Big Issue Invest seeks to promote social investment in underserved regions, we know that our efforts will go towards nurturing the most important organisations who are the heartbeat of their community.
Over the course of three months you’ll enter a mentoring programme followed by a potential debt investment of up to £50,000. The programme will provide each recipient organisation with support in financial modelling and business planning. The aim of the programme is to develop the investment proposition of each organisation for the investment committee held at the end of the three month period.
Click the link below to go through the application process. Make sure to fill in as much detail as possible for our team to assess your business to its full potential. We will assess each organisation based on three key principles: location, business model, and social and/or community value. We accept all legal structures, even pre-revenue status, however we do not fund companies in the idea stage.
Make sure all applications are submitted before September 1, 2018 in order to be considered as a candidate for the programme.
