Warren is a partner on the Nabarro, Corporate team. He acts for quoted and private companies and institutional clients on corporate finance matters, both domestic and cross-border. Warren also regularly advises clients on general corporate and commercial matters. His experience includes equity capital markets work on the Official List and AIM, such as flotations and secondary fundraisings, acquisitions and disposals, takeovers (both recommended and hostile), joint ventures and private equity. Warren has particular expertise in the healthcare, climate change and energy and real estate sectors.
Nigel is a leading social entrepreneur and advocate of social enterprise and social finance. Since 1974, he has had first-hand experience of starting, building and running social enterprises. He joined The Big Issue in 1994 becoming its Managing Director and then the Chair of The Big Issue Group and in 2005 the first CEO of Big Issue Invest. Previously, Nigel founded three printing and publishing social enterprises and has also worked as a project manager, systems analyst, litho printer and trade union official. Nigel trained as a lithographic printer and gained his Diploma in Printing Production with Distinction at the London College of Printing where he later became Chair of the Board of Governors. In 2008, he was the winner of the Institute of Directors’ Good Enterprise Award and in 2013, Social Enterprise UK’s ‘Champion of Champions’. In 2010, Nigel was awarded an OBE for services to Social Enterprise.
