Ron Sheldon
Independent Chair of the Social Enterprise Investment Fund Investment Advisory Committee

Ron retired as Partner and Managing Director at Advent International, an international private equity firm with over 40 year’s private equity experience specialising in leveraged buy outs with an excess of $20 billion in committed capital. Previously, he co-founded Trinity Venture Partners and had various investment roles at 3i. Ron serves as Chair of the General Partner Board.

James Fairweather
Director, Big Issue Invest Scotland

James has over 33 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He worked at Martin Currie for 29 years chairing the global products group, moving to Deputy and then Chief Investment Officer. Responsibilities included performance, investment strategy, marketing, client service, investment floor and regional office reporting lines. James studied social impact investing at Oxford University and is also a Prince’s Trust business mentor.

Jeremy Rogers
Investment Advisory Committee Member & Credit Committee

Jeremy is the Chief Investment Officer of Big Society Capital. He has combined roles in the charitable and financial sector for the last two decades. Since 2009 he has worked with BII and sits on the Investment and Credit committees. He is a member of the Ashoka Support Network, of Pilotlight, and a business mentor at the Princes Trust. Jeremy was a Managing Director at JP Morgan, where he helped found and run their European High Yield business, growing it to be the market leader. He went on to be a Partner at Praxient Capital, a European focused investment fund.

John Pulsinelli
Investment Advisory Committee Member

John currently sits on our Investment Advisory Committee, having held a number of executive and non-executive directorships. Starting his career at Biocompatibles International, in 1995 they successfully floated on the London Stock Exchange, raising £20million. Most recently, Director of B.A.B Thames Valley a corporate finance business with a niche focus on raising, mainly unsecured, funding through the BIS Enterprise Finance Guarantee scheme.

Mohamed Omer
Credit Committee & TSELF Board Member

After gaining a degree in accountancy, Mohamed specialised in import / export businesses trading pharmaceuticals, as well as agricultural and industrial products. His particular area of expertise was trading with developing parts of Africa. Until recently he was a Council Member of the Learning & Skills Council for London and has been involved with many community organisations in the East End of London. He is an Executive Member of the Gardens of Peace Muslim Cemetery Trust, the largest private cemetery in Europe for Muslims.
